TUITION

​We offer assessments and one-to-one tuition for the typical school entry ages groups; 7+, 10+, 11+, 13+, and 16+. In some instances, we are also able to provide group tuition. Our group classes are usually streamed based on the students' abilities.
Our three main tutors for the 10+ and 11+ have a combined experience of over sixty years, and a 100% success rate for students seeking to secure a place at their first or second choice school, with over 80% gaining entry to their first choice school. We also prepare students for academic scholarships, and are happy to provide advice on a case-by-case basis. There are instances where we have tutored students and felt that they should apply for a scholarship. We are pleased to have achieved a 100% success rate with these students.
For the 10+ and 11+ entry, we run an initial assessment whereby students complete papers in Mathematics, English, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning. This is followed by a short interview. After the assessment, a written report is sent to the student's parents, summarising their performance in all disciplines and, where appropriate, suggesting suitable schools. These assessments run from 9am-1pm on dates throughout the summer holidays and the start of Michaelmas Term. The cost of this assessment and report is £395. Our tuition for students in these age groups is structured and designed to place emphasis on the understanding of key concepts as opposed to simple rote learning. We aim to build very solid foundations so that students can adapt and apply their knowledge to a broad range of problems. Once the foundations are in place, we seek to stretch students by introducing them to higher-level problems. Needless to say, following such programmes inevitably takes students well beyond the scope of the standard school syllabus.
We also provide tuition for GCSE and A-Level examinations, again based upon structured programmes. These programmes are always delivered by experienced tutors. Unlike many other companies, we ensure that our tutors only teach subjects in which they have demonstrable expertise. Our tutors typically have availability during weekdays, evenings, and weekends, and can offer tuition either face-to-face, or over Skype. Specifically for higher education preparation we offer tuition for university admissions tests including all preparation for Oxbridge degree courses, and STEP.
